2-10 AlphaServer GS80/160/320 User’s Guide

2.3.2 CPU Module

A CPU module comes with an Alpha microprocessor chip with a B-

cache, cache control and TAG comparison logic, clock logic, and a DC-

DC power converter. Also included on the module is logic for

implementing self-test diagnostics. Each module has a Run LED and a

Hot Swap LED.
